The LG Cookie is one of the first smart phones to be considered affordable by most people.  It has the look of a more expensive phone but is considerably cheaper to purchase and comes in several colour options.  It is a compact handset which is ideal for those who prefer a more lightweight mobile phone but still offers a three inch screen.

It has an easy to use touch screen but it requires more pressure to work than more advanced models.  There is no Wi-Fi or 3G internet but connection options include Bluetooth and USB and an email function, though users have no GPS navigation.  The keyboard makes sending a text easy and will appear onscreen if the phone is turned to landscape format.

Music can be played in a number of formats.  The 3.2 megapixel camera works reasonably well and the phone has an FM radio.  Memory storage is fairly low but can be boosted with the use of a memory card.  The phone will rotate the screen depending on which way it is being held, so information can be viewed in portrait or landscape formats.

If users are looking for an alternative to the iPhone then LG Cookie is not it, but it does not claim to be. It is a basic smart phone which is ideal for those who want a nice looking handset but are happy with fewer functions.  There are several appealing mobile phone deals which feature the Cookie, due to its affordability and usability.
